Chansaem Village

Chansaem Village is a village preserved in pristine nature, receiving the energy of Nogosan Mountain amid the clear water and clean air of Daecheong. Chansaem Village is an educational farm that awakens the five senses in nature and, through a theme-centered integrated approach using village spaces and resources, organizes experiences and themes in farming, ecology, crafts, and food culture, and runs programs tailored to the curriculum learning level of each grade, achieving education through experiences of things not encountered at school. Learning facilities include butterflies, rhinoceros beetles, an animal farm, frogs, a nature craft room, a food culture learning center, a potato field, a sweet potato field, a rice learning field, a vineyard, a peach orchard, and a forest playground. In Chansaem Village there are Nogosan Fortress and Seongchisan Fortress, monuments of Daejeon Metropolitan City, and the view of Daecheong Lake from the summit of Nogosan is superb; nearby, you can see Gyeyongsan Fortress, Jikhyeon Fortress, Masan-dong Fortress, Gyeondusan Fortress, and Baekgolsan Fortress visible across the Daecheong Dam at a glance.
