Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to set out the rights and obligations between the Operator and users and the procedures for using the Service.
Article 2 (Description of the Service)
- Information on tourist attractions, festivals, and tourism videos opened by the Korea Tourism Organization on the Public Data Portal (data.go.kr), and guidance on official guidebooks
- Multilingual machine translation of public data
- Member reviews (star ratings and text), levels and badges
- Generation of guidebook PDF and DOCX files for each place
- Finding nearby tourist attractions in the app (when location is allowed), and notifications
The Service is free of charge, and ads may be displayed in the app.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)
These Terms take effect when they are posted on the Service screen. If the Terms are amended, we will give notice from 7 days before the amendment takes effect (30 days before if unfavorable to users), and if you do not agree to the amended Terms, you may delete your account.
Article 4 (Membership Registration)
- You can sign up by choosing an ID, nickname, and password, or with a Google or Apple account.
- Only persons aged 14 or older may sign up.
- You may not use another person’s information or a nickname that impersonates the Operator.
- If you sign up with an ID without providing an email, you cannot recover your account if you forget your password.
Article 5 (Account Deletion)
Members may delete their account at any time in "My page" in the app or on the web. Upon deletion, your account, reviews, experience points, and badges are deleted immediately and cannot be restored. How to do it: https://www.k-traveler.com/account-delete
Article 6 (Reviews and Posts)
- The copyright in a review belongs to the member who wrote it. Members permit the Operator to display reviews within the Service and to use them for calculating levels and rankings.
- Profanity, hate speech, advertising, disclosure of personal information, copyright infringement, and false content are not allowed.
- A review that has accumulated 3 reports is hidden automatically, and the Operator may hide or delete reviews that violate the rules.
Article 7 (Prohibited Acts)
- Scraping the Service in bulk with automated tools or placing excessive load on the servers
- Using another member’s account or obtaining levels or badges unfairly
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
If you violate these, your use may be restricted or your account may be suspended.
Article 8 (Location-Based Service)
- The app finds and shows nearby tourist attractions using the device’s location only when the user has allowed it. Location information is used only for this purpose and is not stored.
- Users may withdraw their consent to the use of location at any time in their device settings.
- Children under 14 cannot sign up as members. The guardian of a child aged 8 or younger, and others in a similar position, may exercise on the child’s behalf the rights concerning the use of that child’s location information.

Article 9 (Public Data and Translation)
- The copyright in tourism information and videos belongs to the original providing institutions such as the Korea Tourism Organization, and they are used under Korea Open Government License Type 1 (attribution).
- Tourism information on foreign-language screens is a machine translation of the Korean original and may contain errors. Please check important information such as opening hours and fees against the original and on site.
- Data from the original providing institutions may change or be reflected late, and the Operator does not guarantee its accuracy.
Article 10 (Advertising)
Google AdMob ads may be displayed in the app. Transactions with other sites or products reached through ads are matters between the user and the relevant advertiser, and the Operator is not responsible for them.
Article 11 (Changes to and Suspension of the Service)
The Operator may change the content of the Service, and may suspend the Service temporarily or permanently due to maintenance, failures, discontinuation of public data provision, and the like. We will give 30 days’ notice before a permanent suspension.
Article 12 (Limitation of Liability)
The Service is provided free of charge, and unless there is intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service or errors in information. Users must check their own safety and schedules during travel.
Article 13 (Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes will first be discussed by contacting [email protected]. If a lawsuit is necessary, the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act will hear it. If the foreign-language version and the Korean version differ, the Korean version prevails.
