Dongnaeeupseong History Festival

The Dongnae Eupseong History Festival, which began with the 1st Chungnyeol Festival in 1995 and has continued for 32 years, is a history-education experiential festival representing Dongnae-gu, Busan. Having advanced to become one of Korea's representative '2026-2027 Culture and Tourism Festivals,' the 32nd Dongnae Eupseong History Festival invites visitors into the vivid emotion of 1592. The festival announces its splendid beginning with the 'Dongnae Busa Procession Gilnori,' a grand parade involving hundreds of participants, and in particular, the 'Dongnae Fortress Battle Reenactment Live Musical' performed at the actual historical site where the Imjin War battle took place will convey the overwhelming emotion of desperate resistance even more intensely through refined performances combined with media art. In addition, it creates a scene of harmony with the 'Dongnae Three-Strand Tug-of-War,' in which everyone pulls a giant rope together, and visitors can also enjoy a variety of trendy experiential content such as outdoor escape games and Byeolmidang character cookie experiences. At the 'Dongnae Market,' where you enter the Joseon-era marketplace holding yeopjeon coins, you can fully taste a day in the life of the fortress residents. The Dongnae Eupseong History Festival, where history and the future come together, is composed of rich and substantial programs and will provide the most special memories this autumn.
