Yongneup Nature Ecology School

Yongneup Nature Ecology School is an educational accommodation facility located at the site of the Seoheung Branch School on Geumgang-ro, Seohwa-myeon, Inje-gun, Gangwon-do. It is a facility designed so that Yongneup Village, which preserves its clean natural environment as it is, can satisfy the curiosity and fun of family and group visitors, offering nature ecology exploration experiences and accommodation. Created to increase residents' income by utilizing Yongneup, a valuable asset of the village, it is equipped with the Yongneup Ecological Nature School, 10 pension units, and convenience facilities.
The 250㎡ nature ecology school is equipped with an exhibition room that introduces the formation process and ecological importance of wetlands and Yongneup and allows visitors to see major native plants and insects. As a representative stratum of Yongneup, a peat layer facility, where plant remains were deposited with mud at the bottom of a swamp or pond, has been established and is receiving a favorable response from family visitors. Here, it operates the Yongneup Trail Ecology Exploration Program with a nature ecology interpreter, providing nature ecology education where visitors can directly experience rare insects and plants native to Yongneup. Auxiliary facilities include 9 accommodation buildings for the ecology school, a seminar room, a kitchen and dining hall, making group accommodation possible, and there are also a foot volleyball court, a mini soccer field, and a barbecue area, so there are various things to learn and enjoy.
