National Songnisan Maltijae Natural Recreation Forest

Sokrisan Maltijae National Recreational Forest is located at the edge of Sokrisan National Park, about 7 km from Boeun-eup, Boeun County, Chungbuk. As the first gateway to Sokrisan National Park, it is a steep hill pass. It is said that when King Taejo of Goryeo was climbing Sokrisan, the slope was so steep that palanquin travel was difficult, so he switched to horses to cross the pass, and thus it came to be called Malti Pass. Sokrisan Maltijae National Recreational Forest has 16 forest houses suitable for families to stay and relax, walking trails and hiking trails connected to the summit of Sokrisan Maltijae, and convenience facilities such as pavilions. Centered on family visitors with children, there is a wildflower garden where you can listen to nature stories with a forest interpreter, and you can also experience various forest woodcraft activities.
