Sandonggyo Riverside Park

Sandonggyo Riverside Park, located next to Pureun Village in Dongnim-dong, Buk-gu, Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City, serves as the gateway to the city. It was created to provide leisure and relaxation space for residents on the riverside after treating reclaimed waste around the old Sandonggyo Bridge. The 310,000㎡ site comprises a 4.6km bicycle path, a rapeseed flower field, a cosmos path, a silver grass colony, a fitness center, a gateball court, a shrub garden, a bicycle training ground, and rest facilities. Cooking and camping are prohibited. In spring, rapeseed flowers; in autumn, cosmos and silver grass entice citizens, while in summer, the lush green lawn provides ample space to rest. Additionally, the straight Yeongsangang bicycle path is located right beside it, and there are bicycle and kickboard rental shops. It is a precious space where families can sit together, enjoy carefully prepared food, ride bicycles, or exercise, taking a 'rest' in the city.
