Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival

It is a cultural arts performance festival held every year to honor the musical achievements of Nangye Park Yeon and contribute to the promotion of traditional culture and arts, themed around Korean traditional music (gugak), a cultural heritage of Yeongdong-gun. The 57th Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival aims to carry on the achievements of the 2025 Yeongdong World Gugak Expo, promote Korea's heritage of gugak worldwide, and contribute to a second revival of Korean Wave culture. In addition, as Korea's only gugak festival, it strives to modernly inherit traditional culture and arts through various gugak performances and experience programs, and to turn the festival into a local tourism resource with programs suited to regional characteristics. It provides a venue for harmony among county residents through the improvement of residents' cultural level and voluntary participation.
