Humanities Archive Yangnim & Cafe Humanitas

Humanities Archive Yangnim & Cafe Humanitas is a complex cultural space located in Jubong Village, Cheongju, where visitors can enjoy architecture, books, coffee, and the lotus scenery of Jubong Reservoir all together. The serene atmosphere of the hanok bookshelf and the modern cafe space with an industrial sensibility coexist, and it is characterized by the harmony of traditional and modern architecture. The building consists of a wooden exterior, a linear sloped entrance, and underground sculptures, showcasing both elements of traditional architecture and a modern sense. From the cafe deck, visitors can appreciate Jubong Reservoir filled with lotus flowers and lotus leaves, as well as the surrounding rice paddy scenery.
