Yangpyeong Chive Festival

The Yangpyeong Chive Festival, now in its 7th year, is a resident-led festival that promotes the premium chives of Yangdong-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun—Korea's top chive-producing region—and the excellent agricultural specialties of Yangpyeong-gun, and is jointly created by local schools, farms, and residents. In particular, the 2026 "Chive-ful Yangpyeong Chive Festival" has the theme of "A festival abundant in taste, joy, and happiness," offering Korea's finest Yangdong chives and fresh agricultural products made with the dedication of farmers, as well as a variety of foods and hands-on programs all in one place. Representative festival foods such as "Chive-ful Chive Rice Soup," along with chive rice cakes, chive noodles, and chive makgeolli, capture visitors' appetites. In addition, hands-on programs where visitors can see, touch, and experience Yangdong chives firsthand—such as planting chive pots and trimming chives—and various play programs for the whole family make it an ideal family outing destination with children.
